The special exhibition for KBS Special Live Broadcast Finding Dispersed Families was held from 12 to 25 June in Berlin, Germany.

  • The exhibition that commemorates the KBS Special Live Broadcast Finding Dispersed Families took place from 12 to 25 June 2017 in Berlin, Germany to mark the 67th anniversary of the Korean War.

     

    Finding Dispersed Families was an exclusive live broadcast aired in 1983 for 138 days from 30 June, which re-united families separated during the War. The Berlin exhibition displayed photos and video archives of the program of historic significance. Also, visitors can get access to the historic broadcast at the Seoul Headquarters of KBS through 360 degree VR devices.

     

    In October 2015, the archives of the KBS Special Live Broadcast Finding Dispersed Families were registered as Memory of the World by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization). The archives hold 463 videotapes of 453 hours and 45 minutes of broadcasts, producers’ journals, applications to participate, broadcast ephemera, audiotapes, and photographs.
