    Mew is an alternative rock band which formed in Hellerup, Denmark in 1995. The band consists of Jonas Bjerre (vocals), Bo Madsen (guitar), and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen (drums), and they all together produce music that can be described as experimental pop. Mew started to really gain a fanbase with their album “Frengers”, adding onto the critical acclaim achieved by their debut album “A Triumph For A Man”. The band has the awards “Band of the Year” and “Album of the Year” from the 2003 Danish Music Critics Award Show under their belts. Despite these feats, Mew remained an unknown name outside of Denmark, until they went on a European tour with R.E.M.
