The largest Japanese music chain HMV announced on its Web site that singer Kang Yun-seong, also known as "K," will release his second single on May 11. HMV wrote that K's new single, titled "Takishimetai," features the singer's tender vocals accompanied by the piano, and has drawn keen attention from the Japanese media. HMV also said that K made a successful debut in Japan in March with his single "Over??," which took the eighth spot on the prestigious Japanese Oricon music chart on the day of its release and remained in the top-10 for one month. "Over??" became even more popular after it was featured as the theme song of the Japanese television drama "H2." "K's second single is very likely to create a sensation as well among music fans. We look forward to his success," wrote HMV. K's debut album, which was released in Korea last year, is also enjoying enormous popularity in Japan. HMV incited Japanese fans' curiosity about the album by saying that it features songs sung in Korean that are not on his Japanese singles. |
