The music group Fly To The Sky is set to make inroads into the U.K. market. The group has postponed the release of its sixth album due to a medical condition known as a `singer`s nodule` that group member Hwan Hee was recently diagnosed with. The group`s advancement to the U.K. was organized in a joint effort with Simon Webbe, a former member of the U.K. pop group The Blue, a top British group that has sold nine million discs in its home country alone. The solo activities of its members have attracted the spotlight after the group was disbanded. Webbe, who contributed significantly to The Blue`s popularity thanks to his sexy image, selected Fly To The Sky out of a number of artists recommended by EMI shortly after releasing his solo album. Producer Hwang Se-jun, who supervised Fly To The Sky`s new album, decided to include his new song in the albums of Fly To The Sky and Webbe--who is known as an urban soul singer--as the two sides match each other perfectly in terms of music genre and showed great interest in each other`s music. Fly To The Sky will travel directly to the U.K. to record the song personally with Webbe. The group`s agency said the two teams will also appear together in the music video for the song and launch its promotion together. The members of Fly To The Sky also have their hands full preparing for a large-scale concert slated for Dec. 29 at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul to mark the release of its new album. The group is working hard to stage an impressive performance for its fans to make up for the delay in the album`s release. |
