Singer Shin Seung-hun's debut song "You, Reflected in Smiles" (1990) has hit the Japanese market, 15 years after its premiere release in Korea. Shin's first album featuring that song as its title track ranked 15th on Japan's Oricon Daily CD Chart on the first day of its release in Japan on August 3. This is not Shin's first appearance on the Oricon Chart; on July 6, his single album entitled "I Believe" ranked 17th on the Oricon's Weekly Chart during the first week of the album's release. But his latest feat was especially meaningful because of the large time gap between his debut song's introduction in Korea and Japan. On August 4 on its official website, Oricon gave a detailed announcement on the release of Shin's album, along with his profile. Shin Seung-hun is currently staying in Japan, where he will attend various CD sales promotional events. He will also give concerts at the International Conference Hall's main hall in Osaka on August 30-31 and at the International Forum in Tokyo on September 4. |
