`Super Star,` the title song of the fourth album of female group `Jewelry,` which finally topped the music charts for the first time since its debut five years ago, will be played at the `Pride FC` fighting championship to be held April 23 in Osaka, Japan. The song will be broadcast via satellite to the entire Asian region. `Super Star` was selected as the theme song of judoist Yoon Dong-sik, the only Korean competitor to participate in the championship. Yoon`s agency asked Jewelry for permission to play the song when the fighter enters the ring, and the group willingly gave its consent. A person from Star Empire, Jewelry`s agency, said the company received a call from Yoon`s agency asking for permission to use the song `Super Star` as Yoon`s theme song at the competition. He added the group was more than happy to receive such a request at a time when its popularity has been soaring since the release of four singles and one album in Japan. "We are happy to have our song played at an international competition in front of many people. We hope `Super Star` will encourage Yoon Dong-sik and help him become a super star," said Jewelry`s leader Park Jung-ah. |
