  • Kang Ta, Chunsangjihee Hold Press Conference in China

  • A press conference held by singer Kang Ta and the female group Chunsangjihee on April 28 at the Beijing Palace Garden Hotel was crowded with some 600 journalists from various media organizations including China`s state-run broadcaster CCTV, BTV, newspapers, magazines, radio and television.

    Following the press conference, Kang and Chunsangjihee participated in an online chatting event with their fans on the China's largest portal website Sina.com. Some 180,000 Chinese users accessed the site simultaneously, showing their zealous love for the Korean artists.

    A person from SM Entertainment, the agency representing Kang and Chunsangjihee, said over 50,000 questions were posted during the chatting event, and a record 180,000 people accessed the site simultaneously to watch the live broadcast of the event. He also quoted a person from Sina.com as saying that no other star from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong had set such a record before.

    At the event, Chunsangjihee gave an impromptu acappella performance of Elvis Presley`s `Can`t Help Falling In Love,` impressing the Chinese fans.

    A concert that Kang and Chunsangjihee gave for CCTV on April 29 in Hebei ended in a loud ovation as well. At the concert, which was attended by 25,000 people, Kang performed `Twenty Three,` `The Best,` `Paralysis` and the Chinese version of `Mask,` while Chunsangjihee, performing in China for the first time, sang `Too Good` and the Chinese version of `Boomerang.`
