Singer Rain`s Japanese-debut album `It's Raining` took the 13th spot on the Oricon chart, Japan`s prestigious music chart, just one day since its release. This feat was not completely unexpected as Rain`s debut album already soared to the second place on the preliminary sales chart of the largest Japanese record chain company HMV. As of Feb. 17, the top spot of the Oricon chart was taken by the song `Do As Infinity` of a Japanese group, while the fourth place was taken by BoA`s `Best of Soul - Perfect Edition.` It is the first time that top Korean female and male artists were on the Oricon chart at the same time. Rain, who is currently residing in Los Angeles, USA, is scheduled to hold a showcase performance Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tokyo AX Hall, Japan, in front of the audience of 1,000. He will return to Korea on Feb. 23 after meeting with Japanese journalists in Tokyo. |
