  • Tablo to Give Lecture at Alma Mater Stanford University
  • [2011-05-09]
  • Singer Tablo (real name Lee Sun Woong, 31) will give a lecture at his alma mater, Stanford University in the USA. According to the official website of “Asian American Students’ Association (AASA)” on May 6, Tablo will deliver a speech on “Asian Images” for one hour at the Cubberley Auditorium of Stanford on May 10 at 7 pm. AASA introduced him, saying, “Tablo earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree majoring in English Literature in 2001 and 2002, respectively.

He is very well known in Korea as a music producer and member of hip hop group ‘Epik High,’ and he ranked atop the US Music chart (category of hip hop and rap on the iTunes chart) for the first time as a Korean artist.” Tablo had gone through troubles last year because of allegations of forging his academic records, so his upcoming lecture at Stanford has drawn attention. Tablo has stopped holding activities as a musician since last year due to the rumors.
