The first full-length album from singer Younha, 17, who is currently residing in Japan, has entered the top-10 of the Oricon chart following her earlier release of two single albums in Japan. Younha`s newest album, entitled `Go, Younha!` took the 10th spot on the Oricon daily album chart on the day of its release on Oct. 5, and finished fourth among 226 new albums that were released on the same day. She was also the only up-and-coming artist to break the Oricon top-10. Younha also set a tie-in record, quite rare for a new artist, by having nine of the 13 tracks in her album featured as theme songs in TV shows, games and movies. By entering the top-10, Younha broke her own record of taking the 11th spot on the Oricon chart with her song `Touch,` which was released on Sept. 7, and has established a presence in the Japanese music market even before making a debut in her home country. |
