Singer Seven, 21, has recently achieved his best performance in Japan since his debut in that country. His third single, entitled `Start Line,` took the third spot on the Oricon daily single chart on the day of its release on Oct. 19. The singer`s first single, entitled `Hikari` (Light), finished 25th on the Oricon daily chart on the day of its release on Feb. 23, while his second single, entitled `Style` and released on May 18, took the ninth spot on the same music chart. Seven has accumulated great praise for his feat. Unlike other hallyu stars who combine singing with acting, such as Rain, Ryoo Shi-won and Park Yong-ha, Seven chose a completely different approach to conquering the Japanese pop market: he joined forces with his Japanese management agency Unlimited Group to localize his songs and image in line with the local market. Seven`s popularity will likely grow further after his 2005 SE7Enism Japan Tour, which begins Oct. 22 in Yokohama and will celebrate the release of `Start Line.` |
