  • Singer Kim Jang-hoon Receives Appreciation Plaque from Toronto City

  •  Singer Kim Jang-hoon, now on a North American concert tour, received a plaque of appreciation from the Toronto City Parliament, Gongyeonsesang, his management agency, announced on Oct. 15.

     
    Kim received the plaque from Rob Ford, Toronto City mayor, and parliamentarians when he visited Toronto City Parliament on Oct. 11, one day before his performance in Toronto.
     
    The words on the plaque read “Toronto City awards you this plaque in recognition of your donations and in celebration of your concerts. Our city owes the people like you a lot who sacrifice themselves for others by practicing sharing."
     
    Earlier he donated books to Toronto University and engaged in philanthropic activities for the Chinese community in Canada. The parliament of Toronto City granted an appreciation plaque in recognition of his philanthropic work. .
     
    Kim Jang-hoon was awarded a “Good Performance Prize” from the Los Angeles City last year. He also received a plaque of appreciation from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa this year.
