Singer Kim Jong-hwan, whose hits include the recent “Reason for Existence”, announced his 8th album on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his debut.
He posted his self-composed songs in an omnibus album “Chorus of Tone Deaf” in 1983 before he made his official debut as a singer with his first album “I have no place to rest” in 1985.
Following that, he disappeared from the spotlight for a while, but then returned, to sing such hits as “Reason of existence”, “For the Love”,”One- hundred- year Promise” and “Two united into one”.
The title of the 8th album “Meeting after being separated” is a song featuring a man’s wish for his sweetheart to understand his pain with a warmhearted mind. “Do you know?” is a song that depicts our living realities, and “Afternoon’s Compathy” is a song with moving lylics.
A total of 15 tracks are included in the album including “Sparrow leaving the city”, which was first recorded 23 years ago, “Desert”, a waltz melody for an acoustic guitar, and his most well-known song “For the love”, which had been rearranged into a chamber music version.
A representative of Kim’s agency said, “Kim recording the album using only analogue equipment, with the band and vocals recorded simultaneously.” He added, “Kim worked hard for a good sound using mic made 40 years ago and vacuum tube amplifier."
