  • Child Rearing-Related Entertainment Programs Become the Latest Broadcasting Boom.
  • [2013-11-04]

  •   “Child rearing entertainment” has become the last boom in the broadcasting world.

Broadcasting companies are trying to attract viewers with programs that feature parents’ experiences of child rearing and education, showing cute kids and toddlers.

KBS will premiere an entertainment program “Superman has returned”, which features child rearing and education issues at 4:55 p.m. on Nov. 3. It is incorporated as a corner program of “Happy Sunday.”

While MBC TV’s “Daddy, where are you going?”, which, as a pioneering child care-related program, features the journeyd of fathers and sons, KBS’s “Superman has returned” places focus on child rearing itself.

It will depicts episodes of fathers who are nurturing their love for their children as they overcome many difficulties, and will feature Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Hye-jae, Tablo and Chang Hyeon-song, together with their children.

It received a good response from the viewers when it was broadcast as a pilot program during the Chusok holidays in September, recording viewing figures of 8.4% of the viewing audience, according to Nielson Korea. The staff on the production team is now confident that the program will become very popular. The trailer for the first episode, broadcast during last Sunday’s “Happy Sunday”, generated a great response from viewers.
