  • Kim Jang-hoon To Donate Income from Year-end Concert in Canada

  •  Singer Kim Jang-hoon is to hold a year-end concert in a large museum in Toronto, Canada.

     
    A representative of Goyeonsesang, Kim’s agency, said, on Dec.11 “Kim Jang-hoon will hold a year-end concert on Dec. 19, in the Royal Ontario Museum, the largest museum as well as a landmark in Toronto.”
     
    The representative said, “It is the first time for any singer to hold a solo concert in the museum.” He added, “The museum gave its support for the concert in consideration of Kim’s musical talent, production ability and his social contribution activities.”
     
    The concert will be performed in acoustic style in consideration of the setting.
     
    The total income from ticket sales will be donated to a children's foundation related with Toronto City Hall, Canadian history education agency and a children's hospital. It will also be used for donating Korean books to the Toronto University Library.
     
    Kim Jang-hoon said, “I want to continue holding top-class concerts and donating in localities, thus enhancing Korea's status internationally. I want also to help Korean residents and students get together.” He added, “I will concentrate my efforts until next year to be a pioneer in developing a new hallyu, namely 'concert hallyu' and 'co-sharing hallyu'".
