  • Girl's Day Holds Showcase in Japan
  • [2012-05-08]
  • The girl group Girl's Day held a solo concert entitled "Girl's Day Party in Jepp" at Jepp Diver City in Tokyo on May 6. Girl's Day presented their charms and created an enthusiastic atmosphere by singing their hit songs such as "Oh! My God," which is a popular song featuring the "rabbit dance," "Don't Flirt," "Shupy Shupy," and "How Do I Look?" Their performances -- described as "cute performance like fairies" -- and excellent live singing performances by the group members So Jin, Ji Hae, and Min Ah along with a cheerleading performance by Yoo Ra and Hye Ri received a favorable response from the audience.

During a talk show, Hye Ri introduced an enthusiastic fan who always comes to their concerts in a wheelchair, saying, "Here comes our appreciated fan who always comes to see us," and she shed tears of gratitude. The group leader So Jin also expressed appreciation, saying, "Whenever we feel difficulties, we gain energy by thinking about all of you who cheer for us." In addition to their live performances, they released the music video of their new song "Oh! My God" and a film showing their activities up to now.

Girl's Day group members drew lots to present rings for couples and took instant photos with the winners to remember those happy moments. The members sang the songs "Telepathy" and "Twinkle Twinkle" and they said to their fans, "We will try to become a better girl group."

Girl's Day also held large-scale promotional activities in Nagoya on May 3 and in Tokyo on May 5 to meet with their fans. After the group members finished the concert, they appeared in a press conference and said, "The lyrics of the song 'Oh! My God' expresses stuffy feelings experienced by a boyfriend." The group members also presented a "rabbit dance" performance to the song. Ji Hae said, "I feel happy when I can meet with our fans at concerts." The group members all said, "We will hold more activities in Japan, so please keep watching us and giving us encouragement."[Yonhap]
