  • Wonder Girls to Debut in Japan with ‘Nobody’ in July
  • [2012-05-11]
  • The popular girl group Wonder Girls will make their debut in Japan by releasing an album entitled “Nobody For Everybody” on July 25, in which their representative song “Nobody” is included in the Japanese version, Oricon News said on May 10. Oricon explained that the Wonder Girls debuted in February, 2007 in Korea, and their song “Tell Me,” which was released in September after their debut, achieved great success with its retro style fashion from the 1960s and highly addictive dance choreography. And the Wonder Girls reportedly created a social syndrome called the “Tell Me syndrome” as their music video and live video clips on YouTube recorded 100 million hits.

The Wonder Girls are a pioneering girl group who first created the K-Pop girl group boom. Singer and producer Park Jin Young said about the Wonder Girls’ advancement into the Japanese music industry, “I want them to take on more challenges.” Group member So Hee said, “I am very excited. I want to meet with Japanese fans as soon as possible.” Another group member, Hye Rim, said, “I want to show better performances to our Japanese fans.”[Yonhap]
