  • [2012-05-23]
  • The popular band FT Island, who released their second album “20 (Twenty)” on May 16, held a sales event at Jeff Tokyo in Tokyo on May 19, 2012 and Dojima Riverforum in Osaka on May 20, 2012.

At the event, FT Island fascinated thousands of Japanese fans with 5 songs including “WAANA GO” written and composed by Song Seung-heon and Choe Min-hwan, “STAY” created by Choe-Jonghun, and the Korean version of “SATISFACTION,” which is the ending music of the animation “Torico.”

At the event, Lee Jae-jin said, “We titled the album 'TWENTY' since the average age of the FT Island members is twenty and we wanted to show what we are now and our current music as it is.” Then they served fans with various programs in order to interact with fans presenting questions and gifts. The group members have renewed their resolution saying, “Today [May 19] is the second anniversary of our official debut in Japan. Time goes so fast. We will always do our best continuously!“

As 20,372 copies of the new album “TWENTY” were sold on the release day, it has come up to 3rd place on the Oricon Daily Chart following the 2 albums of the Japanese national group Mr. Children. FT Island will hold the summer tour “FT Island Summer Tour, 2012 – RUN! RUN! RUN!” in four major cities in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya from June 24, 2012 to July 8, 2012. [Yonhap]
