  • [2012-05-24]
  • The opening performance of the third season of the “SM Town Live World Tour” accompanying the representative K-Pop world stars such as TVXQ (Tong Vfang SXien Qi), Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, f(x), Shinny and Boa was held on May 20 (local time) in Los Angeles in the U.S. The “SM Town Live World Tour III in Los Angeles” held at the Honda Center in Anaheim to the southeast of Los Angeles has renewed the worldwide popularity of K-Pop. From three hours before the event, cars lined up one after another from the entrance to the Honda Center and K-Pop fans crowded around the entrance to the event hall.

Though the area is densely populated with Korean immigrants, more than 70% of the audience were Americans. K-Pop fans filling up more than 12,000 seats roared and yelled waving their light sticks to the music and dancing of the singers, making the event center a hall of excitement. As the male group Shinny, Super Junior and TVXQ appeared on the state one after another showing off their dynamic dances, rhythms and music, female fans passionately welcomed them with loud applause and exclamations. When f(x) and Girls’ Generation heated up the stage with their wonderful dances and music one after another, the event hall became an exciting party hall. Lee Teuk of Super Junior said, ”We are very thankful for you as you, our audience, enjoy our dances and music altogether though your nationalities, skin color and faces are different and you do not understand our words.”

After opening the seasonal tour event in Los Angeles, which is the home of worldwide entertainment, “SM Town Live World Tour III” will hold their event in Taipei in Taiwan on June 9, at the Tokyodome in Tokyo Japan on August 4 and 5 and at Jamsil Olympic Stadium on August 18 in Seoul. [Yonhap]
