  • The Wondergirls held a fan event celebrating the sale of their Japanese debut album. Japanese media reported the popular girl-group held the event on July 26th at Tokyo’s Marunouchi Cotton Club.

During a press conference before the event, one of the members, Ye-eun, said she was exciting about the group’s activities in Japan and she was happy to be standing on a new stage. She added that she would like to meet many new people and someday hold a solo concert in Japan. So-hee said it was her first time to be so close to the fans, saying the group prepared hard for their Japanese debut. She added that she hopes everyone can dance and sing together and have fun. Meanwhile, Sun-yae said with confidence that the Wondergirls wasn’t just about addictive melodies and dance, but about having fun together.

The girls’ Japanese debut album, Nobody for Everybody started off at 7th place on the Oricon album daily chart on the day of its release on July 25th. The group will also take part in the JYP NATION JAPAN 2012 concert from August 18th through 19th at Tokyo’s National Yoyogi Stadium. [Yonhap]
