  • KARA’s New Japanese Single Starts at #1 on Japan’s Oricon Chart

  • Popular girl group KARA’s new Japanese single, “Electronic Boy”, ranked 1st on the Oricon daily chart, selling 28,604 copies on the day of its release.

     
    According to Japanese media, KARA held an event celebrating the release of their new single on October 17th at Tokyo’s Studio Cost. During the event, the members turned into DJs playing two songs each for a total of ten songs.




    Ku Hara appeared last and played PSY’s viral hit “Gangnam Style” and asked the audience if they knew the song. She danced the “horse riding dance” herself throwing the audience into a frenzy.

     
    In the last part of the event, all five members came on stage to sing their new single “Electric Boy” captivating the 1,500 fans who were selected to participate in the event.
     
    KARA will be holding a large-scale high touch event at Tokyo’s Big Sight on October 21st to celebrate the release of their new single.
     
    The group will also release their third Japanese album “Girls Forever” on November 14th and will become the first Korean girl group to hold a solo performance at the Tokyo Dome next year. [Yonhap]
