  • Kim Bum-soo’s Carnegie Hall Performance Sells Out
  • [2012-10-23]
  • Singer Kim Bum-soo has performed to a sold out crowd in New York’s Carnegie Hall, according to his management Polaris Entertainment on October 22nd.

His concert, the 2012 GET ALLRIGHT SHOW WITH ORCHESTRA, held on October 20th at Carnegie Hall’s Isaac Stern Auditorium was his first stop in the U.S. and all 2,800 seats were filled. Kim Bum-soo’s reps said that Carnegie Hall’s officials said it is the first time that an Asian artists’ concert was sold out with all of the tickets being paid for and not invitational or sponsored tickets. They added that the officials were surprised at the record and made “sold out” posters to commemorate the event.

During the concert, Kim Bum-soo went on stage with the orchestra and big band and sang his biggest hits for two hours and thirty minutes. Towards the end of the concert he is said to have received a lot of applause for sporting a huge Korean national flag on his body.

Polaris Entertainment said fans from not only New York but Philadelphia, Boston and other parts of the U.S. as well as Japan and Korea were at the concert. Kim Bum-soo came down from the stage in tears from the overwhelming moment.
Kim Bum-soo will continue his U.S. tour on October 23rd in Atlanta’s Gwinnett Convention Center, Virginia’s Hilton Memorial Chapel on October 28th and Caesar’s Palace Hotel The Coliseum in Las Vegas on November 3rd.  [Yonhap]
