  •  Singer Ha Choon-ha will appear as a lecturer in KBS 1TV’s “Lecture 100°C”

    According to KBS on Sept. 11, 'trot' singer Ha Choon-ha, who celebrates the 52nd anniversary of her debut this year, will give a lecture on the theme “忍(in)-patience”.

    She will talk about patience, which was her creed throughout the whole of her career and during her to the top.
     
    Born as the second daughter in a family of four daughters, she was famous in her neighborhood for her singing talent from childhood. At three, she showed such natural talent that she could sing over 300 popular songs. Her father made up his mind to cultivate the daughter’s talent further. She visited an entertainment agency affiliated with top-class composers
     
    She was praised for her superb talent and was able to release her first album in 1961 at only six years old.
    She achieved great popularity with so many hits such as “A Waterfowl”, “Yong-Am Arirang”, and “Man who went away from me”, performing over 8, 000 times over 50 years. In 1991, she was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for her number of personal performances. However, she once lost a toenail as she danced and sang with high heels and suffered from boils on her back due to sweating during performances.
     
    She said she could remain on the top place thanks to her creed “patience”.
     
    In the broadcast, Baik Joong-son, former president of a construction and engineering company, who lost his whole fortune as he had underwritten another’s debt and sank into a homelessness and but successfully rose again, and eventually worked as a taxi driver, and Kim Son-ja, who operates a “one –thousand-won restaurant” to help poor neighborhoods will also give lectures.
