Artist Rain won the Grand Prix of the 2004 KBS Music Awards. The Best Lyrics
Award went to Jeon Hae-sung, who wrote Lee Seung-chul`s `Long Day,` and the Best
Music Award was taken by Yoon Myung-seon, who composed Jang Yun-jeong`s `Oh My
Goodness!` Director Matsushi Muto won the Best Music Video Award for producing
the music video of BoA`s `My Name.` The Merit Award went to the veteran singer
Ham Myung-sook, famous for her song `A Guy In Yellow Shirt,` while the Special
Award was given to the former KBS lighting director Ko Cheon-san.
A total
of 25 artists and groups received the main prize at the KBS Music Awards
ceremony, including the Grand Prix winner Rain, Shinhwa, TVXQ and Lee
Seung-chul, among others. The winners were selected through ARS, Internet and
mobile phone voting; the criteria also included the number of discs sold during
the year and contribution to broadcasting. |
