Singer Seven, who is rapidly making inroads into stardom all across Asia, has been invited to the 2005 Pop Music Festival to be held Aug. 20 in Taipei, Taiwan. He will be the only foreign artist to perform at the festival organized by the Taiwanese government and the Taiwanese broadcaster Star TV. It will be Seven`s first appearance on Taiwanese national TV.

Traffic on the streets near the Taipei government complex -- the venue of the festival -- will be blocked as more than 60,000 people are expected to attend the festival.

Performers will include many top Taiwanese and pan-Asian artists, such as Viviann Shu, who combines singing with acting; Stanley Huang, an award-winning artist who performs in various genres including rock and hip-hop; and Jolin Tsai, known for her pretty looks. `
