Several celebrities who started their military service last year in the DMZ area in Gangwon Province have received citations recently. Yoon Kye-sang, a member of the popular male group G.O.D., received a citation from the division commander on Jan. 14 after completing his boot training. He has been dispatched to a reconnaissance company as a sniper.

"About five new conscripts were awarded with citations for diligence and exemplary behavior during training," said a military official.
