Infuriated over the recent disclosure of personal information of some popular entertainers, a total of 356 celebrities from 45 domestic agencies have decided not to star in commercials planned and produced by the agency identified only by its initial letter `C.` This marks the first time celebrities have refused to appear in commercials produced by a specific ad planning agency, which also happens to be the top advertisement production company in Korea. "The company compiled and distributed groundless rumors about the celebrities as if they were real facts, and failed to take measures to stop the leak of personal data regarding the entertainers, which proliferated quickly on the Internet. As a result, the public came to believe all those malicious rumors, leading to irreparable damage to those celebrities," said a member of the Entertainers` Emergency Committee. |
