Actor Hong Jong-hyeon has revealed his “super-dynamic pose” of an officer of the royal guard, overwhelming staff on location at the drama's shooting site.
In the new KBS Wednesday and Thursday drama “Jeon Woochi”, which starts airing on November 21, Hong Jong-hyeon will take the role of Seo Chan-hwi who is a very obstinate and cold-blooded officer of the royal guard in the Joseon Kingdom. As a scrupulous and obstinate officer who does not have any sense humor or flexibility, he is supposed to play brain games with Jeon Woochi (Cha Tae-hyeon) continuously in the new drama.
As Hong Jong-hyeon completely expresses the cool, obstinate and unflappable features of an officer of royal guard Naegeumwi, he is expected to be a hit with female viewers. He is said to be very impressive for his charismatic figure and well-trained muscular bearing, as he has worked as a model in the past. Since the charismatic features of Seo Chan-hwi are revealed in the drama, many viewers will be keen to follow his story closely.
The courageous and victorious actions of Hong Jong-hyeon as a royal guard were filmed at the Confucius academy Sosuseowon at Sunheung-myeon in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province last November 15. On location that day, Hong Jong-hyeon performed his military drilling scenes in the morning and running and horse riding scenes in pursuit of masked rascals in the afternoon, performing very passionately and actively without sparing his energy and spirits. Observing the wonderful performance of Hong Jong-hyeon on location, a staff member is reported to have shouted, “Charisma Hong Jong-hyeon! You are very great!”
Because Hong Jong-hyeon gained experience as a historic drama actor in the SBS drama “Warrior Baek Dong-su” in 2011, he has been able to perform his role with more ease and familiarity than other actors. After fishing his performance, he said, “The set has a nice atmosphere and as my seniors treat me so friendly and comfortably, I performed very joyfully and willingly every time. In order to perform well the role of a warrior, I trained myself at action performance training school and horse riding school. I will reward the hardworking staff by doing my best while I can!”
A staff of Hong Jong-hyeon’s entertainment company commented, “Hong Jong-hyeon commits very passionately to his roles. The real personality of Hong Jong-hyeon is opposite to Seo Chan-hwi’s character in the drama but in spite of that, in order to perform as Seo Chan-hwi perfectly, he analyzed Seo Chan-hwi’s character and studied his lines continuously. So, we hope our viewers will observe his passionate performances attentively.”
The producer Chorokbaem Media said, “Hong Jong-hyeon is performing well as a brave guarding warrior with tough sense of justice. He will catch the attention of viewers with his strong performance in 'Jeon Woochi.'"
