  • [MON/TUE DRAMA 'School 2013'] Unique and Diverse Characters of Future Stars Add Fun

  • The rookie actors who will play the Seungri High School Juniors in class two in KBS 2TV’s new Monday/Tuesday drama “School 2013” are expected to follow their seniors in ascending to stardom after their performance in the series.
    Those rookies are Lee Jong-suk, Park Se-young, Kim Woo-bin and Ryu Hyo-young and the actors whose paths they hope to follow are Zo In-sung, Im Soo-jong, Jang Hyeok, Choi Gwang-hee, Kim Rae-won and Bae Du-na, who became top stars through the school series. 
    Whether “School 2013” will again prove to be a gateway to stardom for the rookies has become something of an online talking point. The rookies to play in the “School 2013” are attracting a lot of attention from viewers now.
    The previous school series depicted joys and difficulties of students of the 1990s. Much has changed since then, including the students’ lifestyles, their dreams and the environment surrounding schools. Therefore new up-and-coming stars are required to tell these different stories. 

    The leading figures of the rookie group are Lee Jong-suk , who as Go Nam-soon will express agonies of being an eighteen-year-old; Park Se-young, playing pretty bookworm Song Ha-gyeong; Kim Woo-bin, who plays a mysterious failed student Park Heung-soo; and Ryu Hyo-young, as boyish wild girl Lee Gwang-joo. 
    Additionally, Kwak Jeong-wook, who play the school’s big shot Oh Jeong-ho, Cheon Soo-jin who plays Gye Na-ri, a mischievous player, Kim Chang-hwan , as ‘exceptional student’ HanYoung-woo, and Lee Yi-kyung, who plays the right hand for Kwak Jeong-wook, are being recognized as able actors armed with strong capabilities. 
    Other talented actors include Korea Univeristy ‘hunnam’ Choi Chang-yeop as a exemplary student Kim Min-gi, Kim Dong-suk, who plays Kim Dong-suk, a handsome 'flower-boy', and Kim Young-chun, as a 'king of networking' Byeon Gi-duk.
    They all are expected to show off their unique personalities and charms in the drama and there are high hopes for them to become future stars. 
    A representative of production team said, “This drama will portray different features of today’s youth and the diverse charms of the new faces will increase fun of the drama.”
    “School 2013”, which will feature stories based in and around the schools of today, which will all take place in Seungri High School and aims to be a realistic report on contemporary school life. 
    It will take over the time slot of “Ohlala Couple”, and premieres on Dec. 3 at 10 p.m. on KBS 2TV.
