  • 'Teenage Medley', Three Keywords for Fun Viewing
  • [2013-07-12]

  •  KBS Drama Special's summer vacation special <Teenage Medley> (written by Kim Bo-yeon, directed by Kim Sung-yoon) will premiere on July 10th at 11:10 p.m. The four episode special has been planned for "parents and children to communicate and understand each other" in time for the summer vacation season. With that purpose, the producers have picked memories, sympathy and fun as the key viewing points.

    1. Memories
<Teenage Medley> is a drama which will bring back memories of innocent youth. The memories of serious and sincere first love, the school bully that we hid from, the friends we shared everything with, the thoughts and actions that were only possible during our teenage years... Although we cannot return to those years, <Teenage Medley> will take us on a trip to those innocent bygone years.

    2. Sympathy
Teenagers will be able to sympathize with characters that are similar to them. There's Jung-woo (played by Kwak Dong-yeon) who fools around at school thinking he will be transferred again, the class president Ah-young (played by Lee Se-young) who seems cold and aloof but is actually full of empathy, Deok-won (played by Kwak Jung-wook) who's shy personality makes him the school errand-boy, the school bully Yeok-ho (played by Choi Tae-joon) and forever in 2nd place Hyun-jin (played by Bae Nu-ri) who is jealous of 1st place Ah-young. All of the characters can be seen easily at any school. However, the drama also presents the dreams and growing pains that only those in their teens can experience through Jung-woo's unexpected life hurdle, and the heartwarming story is expected to soothe the mind and body of teens tired of school and their studies.

    3. Fun
The drama is based on a popular webtoon of the same title, so the story and content has already proven to be a hit. The producers have added the innocent sensitivity of adolescent teens and a comic touch to it to make it seem like a cartoon is being shown through the TV screen.
<Teenage Medley> is about adolescent Choi Jung-woo (played by Kwaw Dong-yeon) who has learned how to live like an invisible man, keeping his distance from friends, due to his frequent transfers from school to school. The drama is based on a popular webtoon of the same title and deals with friends growing up togther through various incidents.
